Project Activities

SEPTEMBER 2019 – 1st project meeting via Skype:  schedule mobilities and define pre tasks for the first mobilities and activities to carry out throughout the two years

November 2019 – 2nd project meeting – SPAIN

DECEMBER 2019 – 3RD PROJECT MEETING – VIA SKYPE: To exchange materials (logo) and ideas , plan the website 

FEBRUARY 2020 – 4TH PROJECT MEETING – VIA SKYPE: to plan and exchange materials for the mobility in Portugal  - Italy informs partners that they can’t take part in the mobility because of health restrictions

MARCH 2020 – 5TH PROJECT MEETING – Portugal: only Spain takes part; mixed meeting (Greece, Iceland and Italy are  online): plan activities for the next mobility, due in Iceland ay the end of April

July 2020 – 6th project meeting – online via google meet: to analyze the situation and plan /reschedule mobilities if the state of emergency comes to an end

June 2021 – 7th project meeting: after the extension of the project, rescheduling mobilities to Italy, Iceland and Greece

October 2021 – 8th project meeting – Italy. All partner schools but Iceland take part. Iceland drops the project; analysis of the situation, results and expectations; planning activities for the last mobility to take place in Greece

March 2022 – 9th project meeting – Portugal (only for Italy and Greece)  - more ideas about the mobility in Greece

May 2022 –  10th project meeting: analysis of the outcomes, results and work on the draft of the project final report

 

DISSEMINATION ACTIVITIES:

all partner schools: 

  • Meeting with the school staff, families, the local authorities and other local school to inform about the project and sensitize people on the problem of marine pollution

  • Permanent Erasmus corner to inform about the project and to show its steps and outcomes outcomes

  • Publication of materials on  the project website and on Twinspace

LOCAL ACTIVITIES

  • Interaction with associations / entities such as:

1) Legambiente (participation in the beach cleaning campaign), 

2)Coast Guard ,

3)  Agorà Association (meetings between economic-productive associations such as catering and fishermen associations, local public bodies, environmental associations on the theme of sustainable management of the sea - 3 meetings LONG-TERM OBJECTIVE

-      Participation in the European Project Clean Sea Life

-      Interaction with University of Camerino:  in-depth webinar on the issues relating to the project; practical laboratory activities with protocols and coordination of UNICAM teachers

- Naturalistic school trip in Ventotene, the  island of Europe, site of an important marine natural reserve

 

OUTCOMES

  • Production of posters to raise awareness of good practices with plans to produce in the next year, in collaboration with the Municipality of Civitanova, permanent signs to be installed along the beaches;

  • Production of information posters on issues related to plastic and microplastic pollution of the seas;

  • Land-arts production and permanent exhibition of the products produced;

  • Setting up  of a permanent project on Marine Biology for all classes of all high school addresses;


 

LONG TERM OBJECTIVES

  • Participation of all students  in the project of marine Biology and use of the materials produced and tested laboratory protocols

  •  the teachers of the science department will be able to permanently use the protocols tested for the physical, chemical and microbiological research of water, the research of E. coli in fresh and salt waters, the research of E.coli in mussels, the research of microplastics in the sand and in the digestive system of fish

  • Organization of collection campaigns and  census of waste on beaches according to the Clean Sea Life protocol (European reference)

  • Participation in the WATCHTOWER network of the Marche coast: monitoring site.
